Uses
Of course you may use them for any recipe that calls for these berries, but here is what they were used for this last harvest here at home.
Scuppernong
I decided to to make some jam out of the scuppernog grapes. Surprisingly, it still turned into jelly without adding any pectin. I only used sugar and lemon juice.
Muscadine
Using 7lbs of crushed muscadines, we added some sugar, yeast, and water and waited. A couple months later, it fermented nicely and the result was a nice wine.
Blueberries
The blueberries were hurt by a late freeze so there was a low harvest, but we were able to make some pastries with them.
